In 1917, Clement B. Newbold founded the Mary Scott Newbold lectureship fund in memory of his wife. Newbold was a member of W. H. Special Committee of the City Select Council, referring the
question of salting railroad tracks to the College of
Physicians of Philadelphia; R, E, Rogers' statement to
